Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Mental Health Clinician to support middle school students during the 2025-2026 school year. The position is based in White River Junction, VT, and offers a contract for the full school year.
Responsibilities include providing individual and group counseling to address students social, emotional, and behavioral needs. You will collaborate with school staff, families, and community resources to support student well-being and academic success. Implementing evidence-based interventions and developing treatment plans tailored to each students needs will be a key part of your role.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Background as a Counselor or Social Worker in educational settings
- Strong understanding of adolescent mental health issues and interventions
- Experience working with middle school-aged youth
- Ability to engage students and build trust quickly
- Collaborative skills to work effectively with families and school personnel
- Knowledge of confidentiality and ethical guidelines in school-based mental health
