Compensation: $140,000–$165,000 base + 17.5% bonus eligibility

We're seeking an experienced and visionary Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) to join a high-performing acute care hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire. In this key executive role, you'll work closely with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to drive excellence in nursing leadership, strategic planning, and operational performance. This is a prime opportunity for a seasoned nursing leader with inpatient/med-surg director experience who is ready to make a lasting impact while preparing for a future CNO position.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide executive-level support to the CNO in managing nursing operations across multiple inpatient units.

Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care through evidence-based practices and staff engagement.

Lead and mentor nursing directors and managers, fostering leadership development and succession planning.

Participate in strategic planning initiatives to support clinical and financial performance goals.

Oversee staffing, budgeting, and resource management to optimize operational efficiency.

Champion a culture of safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.

Drive initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and staff retention.
Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required

Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) – Required
Experience:
-
Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience in nursing leadership – Required

Proven 10+ years in direct leadership within an acute care hospital – Required

Must have strong inpatient and med-surg director-level experience – Required
Licensure:

Active RN license in the state of NH or compact multistate RN license – Required
