Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations through initial consultations, documenting detailed case histories and treatment trajectories.

  • Assess and diagnose clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health through a variety of evidence-based methodologies.
  • \n

  • Design tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups addressing their specific needs.
  • \n

  • Lead and facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on fostering openness and resilience among participants.
  • \n

  • Monitor clients’ progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary to maximize recovery outcomes.
  • \n

  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to optimize care for clients.
  • \n

  • Stay attuned to and follow up on the hospitalizations of clients, maintaining communication with attending physicians regarding their mental health status.
  • \n

  • Proactively identify and address behaviors that may obstruct recovery, offering preventive strategies and interventions.
  • \n

  • Guide family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, fostering a supportive home environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At Uplifted Horizon Psychotherapy Center, our client population ranges from adolescents to adults facing an array of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. You will have the opportunity to engage with diverse backgrounds, providing culturally competent care that resonates with each individual’s unique life experiences.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Massachusetts.
  • \n

  • Successful completion of relevant examinations such as the NCE or NCMHCE.
  • \n

  • Demonstrated clinical experience in a mental health counseling setting.
  • \n

  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR.
  • \n

  • Thorough understanding of the implications of various health conditions and addiction issues on mental health.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with best practices as recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • \n

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.

  • Previous work experience in non-profit or community mental health settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
