Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Security Officer for a College Campus in Roxbury MA
Monday - Friday 7 AM - 3 PM
Starting Pay is $21.30 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training
As a Security Officer in Roxbury Crossing, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within an educational campus environment.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related issues.
- Monitor access points and observe student, staff, visitor, and vendor activity, offering directions and assistance while following location protocols for entry, identification, and/or visitor management.
- Support campus operations during classes, events, and after-hours periods by communicating with administrators and/or first responders as needed and helping to address security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
