Job DescriptionMajor Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual individual consultations to assess the psychological and social needs of the students.
- Develop individualized strategies and interventions tailored to the unique challenges faced by visually impaired students.
- Collaborate with families and educational staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
- Guide on coping strategies, social skills, and emotional support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress, and communications with families.
Qualifications:
- Must possess certification in School Psychology in Massachusetts.
- Prior experience working with students with disabilities, particularly those who are visually impaired, is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with students and families.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within the designated hours.
Technology Skills:
- Proficiency in virtual communication platforms for conducting consultations.
- Familiarity with student information systems and documentation tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to engage in virtual consultations from a home or office setting.
- Must have reliable internet access for video conferencing.
