Role Description The Armed Private Security Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Boston, MA. The officer is responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring assigned areas, controlling access to facilities, and conducting regular patrols to deter and detect suspicious activity. Daily tasks include responding to security incidents, documenting reports, communicating with clients and supervisors, and cooperating with local law enforcement when necessary. The role also involves enforcing site rules and regulations, conducting safety checks, and assisting employees, visitors, and clients in a professional, respectful manner. Officers are expected to adhere to all company policies, follow post orders, and participate in ongoing training to maintain readiness and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.\n

- Ability to safely carry, handle, and qualify with a firearm in accordance with state and company requirements; valid Massachusetts firearms license or ability to obtain one.
- Strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and decision-making skills under pressure; ability to assess risk and respond appropriately to security incidents.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to write clear incident reports and interact professionally with clients, visitors, and public safety officials.
- Capability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods; ability to perform basic physical security tasks such as inspections and emergency response assistance.
- Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and adherence to confidentiality and ethical standards; commitment to treating all individuals with respect and impartiality.
- Familiarity with basic security procedures, post orders, and use of radios or other security equipment; willingness to learn site-specific protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior security, law enforcement, or military experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and any required state or local licensing processes.
- Comfort working independently and as part of a team, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by client needs.
