Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated educational team and work closely with elementary students to help them meet their goals.
You’ll primarily focus on delivering small group instruction and co-teaching within inclusive classrooms, fostering a positive environment that supports every learner’s unique strengths. The assignment runs from September 2026 through June 2027, and you’ll work 35 hours per week—Monday through Friday, from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm.
Qualifications & Experience
- Current or pending Special Education Teacher certification
- Prior experience in a school-based setting or similar educational environment preferred
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to adapt instruction and classroom strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Commitment to maintaining a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct special education services in small groups and co-taught settings
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to students’ IEPs
- Track progress and prepare necessary documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
