Overview
The Practice Manager is a proactive and hands-on leader who excels in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments. This role is responsible for overseeing daily clinic operations, fostering collaboration across clinical and administrative teams, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings strategic thinking, clear communication, and strong problem-solving skills to every facet of practice management. Accountable for performance across assigned services, the Practice Manager cultivates and high-performance culture focused on quality care, patient experience, regulatory compliance, safety, and financial stewardship in alignment with Shriners Children's mission and values.
Candidates can expect to receive an annual salary between $113,529.77 - $194,622.46. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and department equity.
Responsibilities
- Oversees daily clinic workflows to ensure efficiency and patient-centered care
- Supervises and coaches administrative and clinical support staff
- Ensures adherence to pediatric-specific health regulations
- Monitors revenue cycle with attention to subspecialty billing opportunities
- Identifies gaps in authorizations, referrals and documentation
- Fosters a child-friendly and family-centered environment
- Designs and implements strategies to improve patient/family satisfaction
- Handles escalated patient/family concerns
- Uses data and root cause analysis to identify and solve workflow inefficiencies
- Acts as a liaison across care teams, leadership and external partners
- Recruits and retains staff experienced in pediatric care

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 - 5 years practice management experience or demonstrated skills
Preferred:
- Masters degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration
- Membership in American College of Healthcare (ACHE)
- Membership in Medical Group Managment Association (MGMA)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Certification
- 2+ years experience in pediatric or specialty care setting
