Classroom Assistant | Manchester, New Hampshire
Job Description
Job Description
Experience an inspiring opportunity supporting a high school senior as a dedicated paraprofessional within a welcoming and growth-focused environment. You’ll play a pivotal role in empowering a thoughtful, mild-mannered student through her senior year by offering a blend of academic encouragement, emotional reassurance, and steady companionship during her daily routine.
As part of your week, each morning Monday through Thursday begins at a central campus, where you’ll ride alongside the student via district transportation for an engaging learning experience at a partner academy. Your presence provides essential standby support—lending a helpful hand while fostering a nurturing atmosphere during the commute and academic activities. Upon returning, you’ll assist her in completing coursework, focusing on history assignments and reinforcing classroom concepts.
Fridays offer a unique twist—accompany the student to her internship at a car detailing facility, providing on-the-spot emotional assistance as she gains valuable real-world experience. When your presence isn’t required at the internship, your adaptability will shine as you contribute to flexible support tasks on campus.
What You’ll Need:
- Experience as a school paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role
- Patient, compassionate demeanor, especially in response to variable student engagement
- Strong reliability and punctuality for consistent bus transit and site transitions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to tailor support strategies to fluctuating needs, both academically and emotionally
- Readiness to complete district-provided Vector training immediately upon hiring
Take this chance to make a meaningful difference for a student preparing for her next chapter. Start making an impact by submitting your resume and a brief candidate profile—let’s help this senior thrive together!
