Organized and efficient individual needed in The Clothing Department at a residential program that supports children and adults with special needs. . Knowledge of Microsoft Office and typing skills a must. Responsibilities include but not limited to; data entry of students’ personal belongings, filing, organizing dept. inventory, delivery of clothing to residences, packing/moving students to different residential locations etc. Driver’s License is required. This is a full-time position, Monday- Friday from 8:30am-5pm.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Driver's License
  • Six months to three years experience in a non-profit educational-residential program preferred.
  • Stamina and physical endurance for elongated business days and exceedingly demanding business schedule.
  • Candidates should possess excellent problem solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to function with moderate supervision.
  • Familiar with PC software/hardware for word processing/databases.

Duties Include:

  • Must be willing to learn about theJRCstudents/clients, their disabilities and the forms of treatment provided atJRC.
  • Must be willing to be responsible for the safety and welfare of theJRCstudents/clients.
  • Must be able to understand the gravity of their responsibility for the safety and care of theJRCstudents and be willing to perform their duties diligently.
  • Performs clothing checks on students’/clients clothing before and after home visits to inventory the items the student/client takes home and brings back to school and to ensure all the clothing belongs to that student/client.
  • Evaluates staff for not following established JRC procedures concerning clothing and student dress code.
  • Delivers student/client non-clothing items to their case manager so they in turn may bring the items to the proper residence for distribution to the students.
  • Responsible for moving the student’s/clients items from one residence to another in conjunction with completing an inventory of items moved.
  • Run miscellaneous errands to include dropping off and picking up items from the school and residences.
  • Will pick up and drop off laundry to all residence without laundry facilities.
  • Responsible for reporting abuse to JRC and appropriate agencies.
  • Responsible for shipping clothing to students’/clients home.
  • Entering/deleting items into student database.
  • Responsible for completing any other duties as requested by the supervisor and for assisting with the students/clients as necessary.
