Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 educational institution in Methuen, MA is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to support a diverse range of student needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to maximize student growth and engagement.
- Manage classroom activities and provide academic support for K-12 students in varying special education settings.
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting instructional strategies as necessary.
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education (SPED) teaching license.
- Experience working with K-12 students, preferably across multiple grade levels and special education programs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to student-centered teaching and inclusion.
Job Details:
- Location: Methuen, MA
- Contract duration: Current school year (CSY)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week
- Caseload: Varied, with seven openings available in different special education roles
