Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician
Job Description
\n
WE’RE HIRING — HVAC SERVICE TECH / INSTALLER
\n
$50–$60/hour + overtime | Full-time W-2 | Plymouth + South Shore
\n
\n
Baystate Energy Services is looking for one experienced HVAC professional who can work on both sides of the job: produce clean, high-quality residential installations and independently diagnose challenging service issues. This is a hands-on hybrid field role—installation + service, not remote.
\n
\n
You should be able to:
\n
\n
• Install and commission ducted and ductless heat-pump systems
\n
• Install furnaces, boilers, air handlers, and dual-fuel systems
\n
• Diagnose refrigerant, electrical, airflow, low-voltage, and control problems
\n
• Move between installation and service work as needed
\n
• Work effectively with a helper or installation crew
\n
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and take ownership of workmanship, documentation, and callbacks
\n
\n
Experience with Mitsubishi, Bosch, and Trane equipment is especially valuable. Furnace and boiler installation, gas fitting, combustion-air and venting requirements, combustion setup and testing, and hydronic-heating experience are also strongly valued.
\n
\n
EPA Universal certification and a valid driver’s license are required.
\n
\n
Pay is based on demonstrated ability—not just years on a résumé. The top of the range is reserved for candidates who combine an active Massachusetts trade license applicable to Baystate’s work with proven installation expertise and advanced diagnostic ability. A license alone does not guarantee $60/hour.
\n
\n
For the right fit, you’ll speak directly with ownership about building the strongest responsible package we can. Pay and incentives, schedule and time off, field resources, training and licensing, career growth, and what matters most to you and your family are all open for discussion.
