THE ROLE
You price the work and you own the assumptions behind it, through bid day and into the handoff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and spec and design build pricing on commercial and institutional work
- Takeoff, gear and switchgear quotes, and the lead times that decide the job
- Scope review, alternates, and the questions that surface a gap early
- Bid day, and the handoff to the project manager and the field
- Cost history kept so the next bid is sharper than the last
- Temporary power, site distribution and utility coordination
QUALIFICATIONS
- Five or more years estimating electrical work
- Accubid or ConEst fluency helps
- Gear lead times and switchgear pricing you have actually chased
- Numbers that still held once the job was running
COMPENSATION
Base of $115,000 to $155,000.
