Rotating MICU RN Nights & Every Other Weekend - 36 hours per week, floating required.
Unit Name: Level III Trauma Center Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with Med Surg floating required.
20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU caring for adult patients with diagnoses including Substance Abuse/Overdose, severe Psychiatric conditions, DKA, Sepsis, GI bleed, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Arrest, Renal Failure, and Cardiogenic Shock.
Attendings and Residents present 24 hours/day in ICU.
3+ years of general ICU experience required; 2+ years continuous MICU experience preferred.
Floating mostly to Medical/Surgical Units with up to 4 or 5 patients; telemetry competency required.
Rotating shifts required; day rotators may rotate between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a shifts; night shift does not rotate.
RN to patient ratio 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg areas.
Patient population: all adult patients.
Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC.
Job Requirements
Active Massachusetts RN License required.
Minimum 3 years general ICU experience; 2 years continuous MICU experience preferred.
Must be able to read telemetry strips.
BLS certification required.
ACLS certification required.
Schedule Information
Rotating night shifts and every other weekend, totaling 36 hours per week.
Floating required to Medical/Surgical units as needed.
Day rotators may rotate between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a shifts; night shift does not rotate.

Fit Test (N95) required within 365 days of start date and updated annually.
MGB Medication Exam and Advanced Dysrhythmia Exam required with 80% passing score.
MMR vaccination or proof of immunity required.
Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30) with no exemptions.
TB test documentation required within 3 months of start date and updated if break >6 months.
Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA required within 365 days of start date and updated if break >6 months.
Criminal background checks and CORI required within specified timeframes.
MGB Skills Checklist and References required for submission.
Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation required if fit test is required.
Education verification, SSN trace, National Sex Offender Check, and Exclusion Checks required as per policy.
