Position Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Location: Lancaster, New Hampshire
Department: Respiratory Therapy

Schedule & Shifts

  • Shift Type: Days
  • Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Schedule Options:
    • Full-Time or Part-Time
    • 3×12-hour shifts
    • Inpatient & Outpatient coverage
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
  • On-Call: 2–3 nights per week
  • Training: New graduates welcome; training provided


Job Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is a vital member of the healthcare team, providing high-quality, age-appropriate respiratory care to a diverse patient population. This role requires strong clinical skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently in a 25-bed critical access hospital, including participation in patient transport and emergency response.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Deliver age-appropriate care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Operate and manage mechanical ventilation and respiratory support equipment
  • Participate in patient transport as required
  • Follow hospital policies, procedures, and AARC standards of practice
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development

  • ABG GEM Analyzer
  • EMR: Meditech


Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved/accredited Respiratory Care program
  • Active New Hampshire Respiratory Therapy license/registration
  • NBRC credential (RRT)
  • BLS (AHA) required
  • ACLS required or eligible for certification
  • PALS and NRP required or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire
  • Clinically independent with experience working across all age groups
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience required
  • Critical access hospital experience preferred


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in rural or critical access hospital settings
  • Strong adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced, resource-variable environment
