The Contracted Engineer oversees the safe and efficient operation of fuel processing systems, boilers, turbines, and other steam-plant equipment. This role ensures compliance with safety standards, environmental requirements, and operational procedures while supporting plant reliability and performance.
Duties
- Monitor and operate fuel systems, boilers, turbines, and related equipment.
- Ensure full compliance with safety protocols and environmental permits.
- Approve equipment removal, issue safety permits, and manage clearance procedures.
- Lead and train shift personnel to maintain a skilled and safety-focused workforce.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate maintenance activities.
- Respond to emergencies and direct corrective actions.
- Maintain required state and site licenses and certifications.
- Participate in projects that improve plant efficiency and performance.
