Join our team as a Permanent Facilities Maintenance professional in the thriving Manufacturing industry. This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a knack for troubleshooting and problem-solving, who is eager to apply their skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the functionality and safety of our manufacturing facilities, ensuring top-notch conditions for our production processes.
Responsibilities:
As a Facilities Maintenance professional, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the maintenance of all facility systems, including HVAC, fire suppression systems, plumbing, and electrical systems, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
2. Performing regular inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
3. Coordinating and conducting necessary repairs and maintenance tasks, ranging from simple fixes to more complex tasks involving the facility's infrastructure.
4. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining a clean, secure environment.
5. Implementing preventive maintenance measures to avoid potential equipment failures or breakdowns.
6. Collaborating with the management team to strategize on facility improvements and modifications.
7. Responding promptly to emergencies or urgent issues that arise during or after business hours.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Facilities Maintenance role should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in plumbing, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
3. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment and systems.
4. Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
5. Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, to complete projects and tasks.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively relay information to team members and management.
7. A keen eye for detail, with a commitment to quality and safety.
8. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to different site locations as needed.
9. Certification in a skilled trade (electrician, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) or an engineering degree would be a significant asset.
10. Physical stamina and dexterity, as the job may involve lifting heavy items and working in confined spaces.
