Unit Manager - Short-Term Rehabilitation (STR)-$7500 Sign-On Bonus

About the Role

As the STR Unit Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our Short-Term Rehabilitation unit, ensuring high-quality resident care while promoting a collaborative and resident-focused environment. This leadership position is responsible for supervising nursing staff, coordinating interdisciplinary services, monitoring clinical outcomes, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Short-Term Rehabilitation unit

  • Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care

  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members

  • Coordinate and implement individualized resident care plans

  • Monitor resident assessments, treatments, and clinical outcomes

  • Ensure care is provided in accordance with facility protocols and safe nursing practices

  • Participate in resident admissions, discharges, and care transitions

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations

  • Provide leadership, guidance, mentoring, and support to nursing staff

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance monitoring

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members

  • Promote a collaborative, team-oriented, and resident-focused environment

  • Support staff development and promote best practices in nursing care

Qualifications

  • Current, active, and unrestricted Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or unit management experience preferred

  • Experience in short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills

  • Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
