Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A middle school in Exeter, NH is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in a resource room setting. This long-term substitute position offers the opportunity to provide specially designed instruction in small groups, one-on-one, and collaborate with classroom teachers to meet diverse student needs. The role is contracted for the current school year with an uncertain end date, ranging from a few months to the remainder of the academic year.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering tailored instruction to students with special needs in a resource room environment
- Collaborating with classroom teachers to support inclusive education strategies
- Monitoring and documenting student progress and adapting teaching methods accordingly
- Maintaining a positive and supportive learning atmosphere conducive to student growth
- Managing classroom behavior and fostering social and emotional development
Qualifications:
- Active New Hampshire Special Education Certification is required
- Experience working with middle school-aged children preferred
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and special education laws
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 2:25 PM
