Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialized opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide Essential Summer Year (ESY) services in a unique high school setting designed for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. Serving within the Compass High Program, this role supports the developmental growth and independence of individual students through personalized, supportive education outside of traditional classrooms.

Location: Ludlow, MA
Position Type: Temporary Contract (7/6/2026 8/7/2026)
Work Schedule: 15-20 hours per week, spread over 2-3 days

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services to high school students focusing on functional communication needs.
  • Provide AAC support experience; while AAC evaluations are not required, familiarity with AAC devices and strategies is essential.
  • Collaborate with educational and support staff to tailor interventions supporting students independence and skill-building.
  • Document student progress and maintain compliance with state regulations and program standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid state licensure as an SLP with all required credentials to operate in school settings.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, supporting well-rounded clinical expertise.
  • Experience working with high school students diagnosed with ASD or related learning differences is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated experience or comfort working with AAC devices and communication systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a specialized program environment.
