Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a 19-bed inpatient rehab unit.
- Manage patient care with close attention to rehab/medical-surgical needs including IV therapy.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to implement individualized care plans.
- Utilize equipment such as mechanical lifts, Sara steady devices, Baxter and Kangaroo pumps.
- Maintain accurate documentation using the Meditech electronic medical records system.
- Uphold unit policies and standards, including strict adherence to dressing code and professional conduct.
- Participate in every other weekend shift coverage.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license with certification in BLS (Required).
- Experience in rehab and med-surg nursing settings with demonstrated IV therapy skills.
- Preferred experience in wound care, stroke, and traumatic brain injury (TBI) patient care.
- Strong adaptability, kindness, thoroughness, and effective communication skills.
- Flexibility to work within a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio.
