Job DescriptionSalary: $746.15 per week non-exempt, with overtime starting at 45 hours, and housing available.

Barrington Stage Company, an award-winning professional theatre company located in the
heart of the Berkshires, is seeking three Stage Crew Members to join our team in Pittsfield, MA.
This position aids in the load-in and strike as well as the smooth running of the backstage areas
during every performance and technical rehearsal throughout the BSC 2025 season. This
position requires a team player, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to follow
instructions accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
Load-in and strike scenic elements for all productions and events throughout BSCs
2025 season
Attend every technical rehearsal and performance as assigned
Preset props and scenery for each show as assigned and sweep, mop, and clean stage
and backstage areas as assigned by supervisors
Move scenery and props during each performance as assigned by supervisors
Keep paperwork up to date by noting any changes to presets or run lists with the Crew
Chief
Assist with the daily post-show cleanup
Notify the Crew Chief of any broken scenery or props and assist in repairs as needed
Assist with scenery, props, electrics, and sound load-ins and strikes as necessary
Other duties as assigned by supervisor


Skills:
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Knowledge of scenic construction techniques and materials, and working knowledge of
pneumatics preferred
Knowledge of automation techniques is a plus
Experience with counterweight fly systems and rigging
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Ability to efficiently complete assigned individual tasks
Ability to stay alert and focused during long periods of inactivity
Ability to work with a wide range of personalities
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, comfortable working at heights, and have good eyesight in
low light conditions


This position reports to the Technical Director, Crew Chief, and Stage Managers. It is a full-time,
seasonal position,
Contract A: 5/19/2025 through 7/27/2025
Contract B: 6/23/2025 through 8/17/2025


Pay is $746.15 per week non-exempt, with overtime starting at 45 hours, and housing available.
