Job Description

This permanent Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) position at Newport Health Center in New Hampshire offers an opportunity to support both family medicine and pediatric care within a well-established facility. The role is designed for a dedicated professional with certified medical assistant credentials and pediatric experience, working primarily day shifts with competitive pay and benefits.

Schedule: Days, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 40 hrs/week

Responsibilities

Room and prepare patients for examinations and procedures
Take and document vital signs
Assist providers with exams and treatments
Administer injections and perform basic diagnostic tests
Collect and process laboratory specimens; perform blood draws
Schedule appointments and procedures
Handle patient phone calls and escalate clinical concerns as needed
Register new patients and maintain medical records
Assist with insurance forms and billing
Prepare patients for procedures and maintain examination rooms and clinical equipment
Sterilize, disinfect, wrap, and autoclave instruments following aseptic and infection-control procedures
Provide dedicated support for pediatric patients

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Hold one of the following credentials:
- CMA – AAMA
- RMA – AMT
- CCMA plus 12-month Dartmouth-Hitchcock apprenticeship
Pediatric experience clearly documented on resume
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Pay

$21.19–$32.85/hour
