A community hospital located on Cape Cod is seeking a night shift pharmacist to support pharmacy operations in a 200-bed facility approximately 70 miles south of Boston. This contract position offers a schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off, covering the hours from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Verifying medication orders for accuracy and safety
  • Supervising pharmacy technicians and managing workflow
  • Conducting pharmacokinetic assessments to optimize patient dosing
  • Providing consultation to physicians and nursing staff on medication-related issues
  • Utilizing EPIC and Pyxis systems to manage medication dispensing and documentation

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Pharmacist license
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience is essential
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams
  • Ability to work independently during night shift hours

Schedule:

  • Night shift, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • 7 consecutive days on, followed by 7 consecutive days off
