Physician Psychiatry - Competitive Salary
Job Description
A community teaching hospital in southeastern Massachusetts is seeking a Per-Diem Psychiatrist for an approximately half-time commitment. This weekday-only position combines direct inpatient psychiatric care with consultation-liaison services for medical, surgical, obstetric, and emergency departments. Hours are flexible and negotiable.

Responsibilities include:

Psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- \n
Medication management and therapeutic interventions on a licensed inpatient psychiatric unit
- \n
Consultation-liaison psychiatry
- \n
Occasional coverage for inpatient psychiatric staff
- \n
Multidisciplinary care coordination and discharge planning

Qualifications:
\n

MD or DO with an accredited Psychiatry residency
- \n
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
- \n
Massachusetts licensure eligibility
- \n
Consultation-liaison experience or interest preferred
- \n
Experience assessing and treating substance-use disorders, including evidence-based interventions and medication-assisted treatment
- \n
Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
