Job Description
St. Paul’s Weekday Nursery School is seeking a PT Lead Preschool/PreK Teacher for up to 25 hours per week. Hours 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Part Time.
St. Paul's Weekday Nursery School, located in Bedford Massachusetts, is best described as a "Traditional" Preschool. In a warm and caring atmosphere we provide experiences for each child to develop growth in social/emotional, cognitive, language and physical developmental areas. We encourage a child to be articulate, self-confident, independent and empathetic. St. Paul’s has a secular school curriculum and welcomes all children.
The school runs September through mid June. During the school year we welcome children age 2 years 9 months through age 5. There are 2, 3, 4 and 5 day morning programs that run 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with the Option for addition hours with Our extended day program that runs until 2:00PM.
In addition to the requirements listed below, the ideal candidate for the Lead Preschool/PreK Teacher position will possess thoughtful and wise leadership qualities, be able to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers, and be able to manage a variety of job responsibilities without supervision. The Lead Teacher will be kind and warm, and understand the importance of nurturing care in the early years of childhood.
Key Responsibilities: Lead Preschool/PreK Teacher - Monday -Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A classroom of 6-10 children.

Qualifications: Candidates should have or possess:
· Strong communication skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with families and coworkers.
· An enthusiasm for working with and supporting the development of 2.9 months - 5 year-old children.
· Experience teaching foundational of reading, writing, and math skills.
· Computer/technology skills, including word processing and Zoom
· Utilize educational technology and other innovative resources to drive student learning
· At least 1 years of Pre/PreK-school teaching experience.
Position Requirements
- Massachusetts EEC Lead Preschool Teacher certification.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
- Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Complete Mass. CORI background check.
