The Double Tree by Hilton is looking for a meticulous and dedicated Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team. As a Room Attendant, you will play a key role in maintaining our guest rooms and ensuring they are clean, comfortable, and inviting. Your attention to detail and passion for cleanliness will contribute to our goal of providing a superior guest experience.
Job Summary
The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring high levels of guest service and satisfaction by cleaning and supplying rooms, laundry and public areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide top quality service and meets guests needs
- Thoroughly clean all assigned guestrooms to include: changing linens, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing, washing and replenishing supplies
- Thoroughly clean public space, work areas and storage areas
- Maintain room quality based on hotel and brand standards
- Follow standard procedures for acceptance and security of guest lost and found items
- Ensure master keys and located guestroom keys are properly secured
- Ability to work well with a diverse group of people
Additional Duties
- Attend monthly department meetings
- Complete projects as determined by management
- Assist other coworkers and departments when necessary
- Actively seeks out other tasks when current work is complete
- Participate in ongoing education and training
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
- Education or Experience- No prior experience or education is required.
-Language Skills- Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to: read and comprehend simple instructions, safety rules and memos.
- Mathematical Skills- Requires mathematical development sufficient to be able to: add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Reasoning Ability- Must have developed reasoning skills to be able to: apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
Physical Requirements
-Non-slip shoes are recommended
-Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check
-Requires walking and standing to a significant degree, reaching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, stooping, handling and seeing
-Lifting up to 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying or transporting of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
-Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Potential exposure to paint, solvents, cleaning chemicals and/or fumes
