Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time behavior specialist role is available for the 2025/2026 school year in Barre, VT, serving students across K-8 at Barre City Elementary & Middle School and Barre Town Middle & Elementary School. This position focuses on providing in-person support as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) within a public school setting.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field preferred; other educational backgrounds with two years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience will be considered
  • State certification or licensure as required for behavior specialists/BCBAs in Vermont
  • Proven ability to design and implement individualized behavior intervention plans
  • Experience working with K-12 students with diverse behavioral needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments to identify student needs
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust behavior intervention plans in alignment with students goals
  • Provide coaching and training to school staff on behavior strategies and data collection
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote positive student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and district policies

Location: Barre, Vermont (in-person role within the Barre Unified Union School District)
