Job Description
The Emergency Vehicle Technician specializing in 12-Volts Automotive systems plays a critical role in maintaining and installing electrical equipment such as warning lights, sirens, radios and wiring for emergency vehicles including ambulances, fire trucks, and police vehicles. Working within a small specialized team, this technician ensures the reliable operation and safety of vital automotive electrical components using standard diagnostic tools.
Installation technician will also install other vehicle equipment such as K9 and prisoner transport systems, push bumpers, equipment consoles as well as other vehicle equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install and Perform wiring installation and repairs on emergency vehicles’ 12V electrical systems
- Install vehicle equipment such as K9 and prisoner transport systems, push bumpers, equipment consoles
- Diagnose electrical issues using standard automotive diagnostic tools
- Collaborate closely with a small specialized team to maintain high safety and performance standards
- Ensure compliance with vehicle and safety regulations for emergency services
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in automotive electrical systems
