Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent II to oversee multiple construction projects, including complex highway and paving work. This role involves leading field operations, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule targets, and supporting team development through training and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations across multiple job sites
- Plan schedules, production, and pre-construction activities
- Monitor project progress, costs, and documentation
- Resolve field issues and improve efficiency
- Enforce safety standards and lead training sessions
- Mentor crew leaders and support team development
- Coordinate with project managers and internal teams
Requirements
- 7+ years of construction experience (highway/DOT preferred)
- Proven leadership in field operations
- Strong knowledge of paving, grading, and heavy civil work
- Understanding of budgeting and job costing
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read construction plans and specifications
Work Conditions
- Field-based role with travel and occasional night work
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Physically demanding (lifting, standing, moving equipment)
