Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) is needed to provide specialized support to preschool-aged children in an early childhood school setting. This role focuses on delivering occupational therapy services to young learners with a broad range of abilities, contributing to their development within a collaborative special education environment. The position offers consistent hours with some scheduling flexibility, ideal for professionals seeking balance and meaningful work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to children aged approximately 2.8 to 5.6 years.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for a mixed caseload ranging from mild to severe needs.
- Collaborate closely with special education staff, families, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings as required.
- Adapt therapy approaches based on the evolving needs of each child.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold an active Occupational Therapist Registered/Licensed (OTR/L) credential.
- Experience working in school or early childhood settings preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and educational staff.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and tailor interventions accordingly.
Position Details:
- Location: Winchester, MA
- Work Schedule: 5 days per week with ideal hours from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM; flexibility available between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
- Contract Duration: Beginning ASAP through March, with a high likelihood of extension through the end of the 2025-2026 school year (June 24, 2026).
- Reporting to the Special Education Supervisor.
