A remote Pharmacist opportunity is available focusing on Part B drug prior authorization and appeals. This temp-to-hire role requires active state pharmacist licensure and offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the U.S.
Location: Remote
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM EST
- Mandatory weekend and holiday rotation
- No days off except emergencies during contract period
Duration: October 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027 (6-month contract)
Responsibilities:
- Review Part B drug and biologic prior authorization requests and appeals
- Apply clinical policies, utilization management criteria, and Medicare requirements to authorization decisions
- Support clinical and non-clinical teams with questions relating to Part B drug policies and workflows
- Identify process improvements to enhance review quality and operational efficiency
- Adapt to fast-paced, evolving workflows while maintaining consistent quality and productivity
Qualifications:
- PharmD degree with active pharmacist licensure in at least one state
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in utilization management, managed care residency, or applicable specialty pharmacy
- Strong clinical judgment to independently evaluate complex Part B drug requests
- Experience with Part B drug prior authorization and appeals review strongly preferred
- Candidates with direct Medicare Part B, utilization management, or prior authorization backgrounds are highly valued
