Women's Lunch Place is a safe, welcoming daytime shelter and advocacy center for women experiencing hunger, homelessness, and poverty. We offer a supportive community that provides healthy meals, housing support, wellness programming, and other critical services designed to restore dignity and empowers women to make positive changes in their lives.


POSITION SUMMARY

Women’s Lunch Place is looking for a Philanthropy Coordinator to support our dynamic Philanthropy Team. This key role helps keep everything running smoothly by managing calendars, coordinating logistics, and providing hands-on support for our signature fundraising events that make a real impact.

You’ll assist with administrative tasks, team projects, volunteer management and donor research, making sure no detail is missed. Whether you're preparing donor materials, tracking RSVPs, or helping bring our biggest events to life, you’ll be at the heart of the action.

Reports to: Managing Director of Philanthropy
Employment Status: Exempt
Employment Type: Full-Time, 5 days, may include Saturdays


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Event and Program Management

  • Support the planning, logistics, and execution of signature events such as the Spaghetti Dinner and eat LUNCH give and other donor cultivation events as needed.
  • Coordinate event timelines, task lists, and vendor relationships.
  • Manage event registration systems, guest communications, and post-event follow-up.
  • Assist with event sponsorship tracking and stewardship activities.

Team and Administrative Support

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Chief Philanthropy Officer and Managing Director of Philanthropy, including scheduling, data entry, and correspondence.
  • Support project management for campaigns and development initiatives, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate internal development calendars, department meetings, and cross-functional communications.
  • Support our volunteer program in assisting with all administrative tasks such as, applications for new Volunteers and managing the data base.

Research and Pipeline Management

  • Assist the Philanthropy team in researching new and prospective donors.
  • Manage an active new prospect pipeline.

Philanthropy Operations

  • Assist in managing the donor portfolios and database (Raiser’s Edge) for the Chief Philanthropy Officer and Managing Director of Philanthropy.
  • Assist in gift entry and acknowledgement process as needed.
  • Help generate donor reports, outreach, and mailing lists.

Other Responsibilities

  • General office support as needed.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Education and Experience:

· Associates degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

· 1 - 3 years of working experience (may include internships).

· Experience working at a non-profit is a plus.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

· Experience with databases (Raiser’s Edge) preferred.

Language and Communications Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills, high level of responsiveness, effective listening, and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage in-person requests and phone/email contacts.

  • Strong ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to working with women experiencing poverty and homelessness.
