Shared Living Residential Manager (Live-In Lead Care Provider), Individual or Couple
Branching Tree is seeking an experienced, strong House Manager to lead a shared home supporting three young adult men with autism/intellectual and developmental disabilities and high support needs. This is a live-in leadership role for someone comfortable managing people and providing direct support.
You will live alongside residents and two live-in Direct Support Professionals, creating a safe, structured, and welcoming household while overseeing daily operations, staff support, and person-centered care.
Help three remarkable young adult men with developmental disabilities build independent, meaningful lives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Household Management
- Lead daily household operations, routines, schedules, and staffing coverage
- Supervise and mentor live-in staff to ensure quality support
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and person-centered household culture
- Manage household logistics: budgeting, meals, cleaning, maintenance, and transportation
- Coordinate staff meetings, trainings, and communication
Direct Support & Resident Care
- Provide direct support to adults with autism and high support needs, including personal care, communication, emotional regulation, and social engagement
- Build meaningful relationships with residents while promoting self-determination, independence, and skill-building
- Support residents according to ISP goals, ADL objectives, and individualized support strategies
- Prepare meals with and for residents while ensuring dietary needs are followed
Behavioral, Medical & Safety Oversight
- Respond calmly to behavioral challenges, crises, and unexpected situations
- Monitor health and safety; coordinate appointments and complete documentation
- Ensure accurate medication administration and documentation per orders and policy
- Follow all safety procedures, emergency protocols, and agency requirements
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with families, providers, and community partners to support person-centered plans
- Lead and coordinate support during transitions, changes, and periods of increased need
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience supporting young adults with autism/IDD and high support needs
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing, supervising, or leading staff teams
- Strong management skills, including communication, organization, and decision-making
- Experience supporting behavioral challenges and emotional regulation needs
- Ability to lead calmly and effectively in high-pressure or complex situations
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and safe driving record
- Successful completion of required trainings and background checks

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This is a full-time, live-in leadership position. Compensation includes a competitive salary along with a comprehensive package of housing, allowances, and other included benefits.
- House Manager Salary: $40,000–$50,000 annually, commensurate with experience
- FREE room and board (includes housing, food, and utilities valued at up to $36k per year)

Branching Tree is a nonprofit creating a small community of inclusive homes where adults with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) live together in genuine community, rooted in belonging, mutual care, and everyday life.
Our community is located in Williamsburg, Massachusetts, just 10 minutes from Northampton, on 12.5 acres surrounded by 288 acres of protected conservation land. It is intentionally designed to feel like a shared home, not a program.
