Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support elementary school students in a full-semester contract position located in Lowell, MA. This role is ideal for dedicated educators with experience in special education who are committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment tailored to meet the diverse needs of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs in an elementary school setting.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure effective instructional strategies and accommodations.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, modifying teaching approaches as necessary to promote academic and social growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, behavior, and progress.
  • Create a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Elementary School setting in Lowell, Massachusetts.
