Job Requirements\n

    \n
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
  • \n

  • Current Massachusetts respiratory therapy license
  • \n

  • Current BLS certification
  • \n

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • \n

  • At least 1 year of critical care or acute-care respiratory experience preferred
  • \n

  • Strong English communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a hospital team environment
  • \n

Responsibilities\n

    \n
  • Provide comprehensive respiratory therapy for patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions
  • \n

  • Initiate, monitor, troubleshoot, and wean ventilatory support, including ventilator management
  • \n

  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as ABG draws, sputum specimen collection, bedside spirometry, and capnography
  • \n

  • Respond to codes and rapid response events, and assist with conscious sedation and intubations
  • \n

  • Administer therapeutic gases and oxygen therapies, including high-flow oxygen therapy and Heliox
  • \n

  • Support bronchoscopies, airway clearance therapies, and non-invasive ventilation
  • \n

  • Care for tracheostomy and laryngectomy patients, including suctioning, airway maintenance, and trach tube support
  • \n

  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, document accurately in the EMR, and complete charge reconciliation
  • \n

  • Collaborate respectfully with physicians, nursing staff, patients, and families
  • \n

  • Assist with training, orientation, equipment maintenance, and ongoing service excellence
  • \n
