Key Responsibilities\n
- \n
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions, plans of care, and patient goals in the ICU setting, including ongoing reassessment and documentation.
- Safely administer medications, intravenous therapy, and vasoactive/critical drips in accordance with physician orders, protocols, and established policies and procedures.
- Perform accurate and timely identification of cardiac arrhythmias and interpretation of EKG configuration changes; institute, monitor, and document thrombolytic and anticoagulation therapy.
- Demonstrate proficiency in mechanical ventilation management, including initiation, maintenance, suctioning, troubleshooting, weaning, and accurate interpretation of arterial blood gases and pulse oximetry.
- Provide ongoing assessment and monitoring of patients in the immediate post-operative phase; implement VAP bundle components consistently and per protocol.
- Participate actively in daily multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate on discharge planning, incorporating appropriate support systems and resources for patients and families.

Required Qualifications\n
- \n
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Massachusetts RN License.
- ACLS upon hire, or active BLS certification with the ability to obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire.
- Previous telemetry experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical experience.

- Prior ICU experience strongly preferred.
- CCRN certification preferred.
