Job Description

Support a 5th grade student as a dedicated virtual counselor in a flexible, part-time contract role. This unique opportunity offers the chance to provide 1:1 counseling services to a male student until a long-term placement solution is established, anticipated to last from a couple of weeks up to one month (timeline subject to adjustment). Your expertise will facilitate a positive and supportive experience for the student during this important transition period.

What You’ll Do:

Deliver direct, virtual counseling sessions for one hour per week with the student
Offer indirect counseling support and collaborate with educators, support staff, and family members as needed
Adapt your schedule in coordination with the student’s needs and other service providers for optimal outcomes
Maintain clear documentation regarding student progress, session outcomes, and any concerns
Serve as a compassionate and proactive advocate during a pivotal time in the student’s academic journey

What We’re Looking For:

Experienced school counselor or professional counselor, skilled in engaging and supporting elementary-aged students
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a virtual setting
Flexibility and creativity in scheduling and service delivery
Understanding of the needs associated with transition periods and individualized education plans (IEPs) in school settings
State counseling licensure or relevant credentials preferred
