Previous experience assisting students in an educational, childcare, or similar environment is highly preferred. Key Qualifications:
- Experience in educational, childcare, or a related setting (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with students and staff
- Comfort supporting children with individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a full school year assignment
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support to students with IEPs under the direction of classroom teachers
- Assist with small group or one-on-one instruction, as needed
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Implement accommodations and modifications according to student needs
- Support students’ daily routines and help foster independence
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to reinforce learning objectives
