Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available immediately through the end of the current school year. This role serves a diverse K-12 caseload, including elementary, middle, and high school students, with an emphasis on providing tailored educational support to meet individual learning needs. Candidates with experience working across a range of gradesfrom 1st through 12thare encouraged to apply.
Location: Cambridge, MA
Position Type: Contract, Full-Time (Part-time candidates also encouraged to apply)
Start Date: ASAP through end of school year
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and accommodations for students with special needs in grades K-12
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain thorough documentation and communicate effectively regarding student performance
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience instructing students across various grade levels, preferably covering elementary through high school
- Strong understanding of special education laws, IEP development, and behavioral interventions
- Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning styles and challenges
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
