Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Entry level 0 - years of relevant project, engineering, construction, or utility experience.
  • Interest in electric transmission, distribution, substation, or utility infrastructure projects.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project tracking tools.
  • Exposure to scheduling or project controls software is a plus.


Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Project Associate to support the execution of electric utility infrastructure projects in the Westwood, MA area. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional interested in developing project management experience within the electric transmission and distribution industry.
The Project Associate will work closely with Project Managers, engineering teams, construction personnel, contractors, and utility stakeholders to assist with project schedules, budgets, outage coordination, documentation, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with the planning and execution of electric utility projects.
  • Support projects involving overhead transmission/distribution, substations, and underground electrical infrastructure.
  • Assist with development, tracking, and updating of project schedules.
  • Track project budgets, costs, commitments, and forecasts.
  • Support outage planning and coordination activities.
  • Assist with contract administration, purchase orders, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate project information between engineering, procurement, construction, contractors, and utility personnel.
  • Prepare project status reports, meeting minutes, action-item logs, and other project documentation.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, risks, and outstanding issues.
  • Participate in project meetings and follow up on assigned action items.
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
