Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialized opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to support high school students within a unique program focused on learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This role offers a part-time contract position during the summer session with potential for extension into the next school year.

Location:

  • Ludlow, MA (Assignment based at Ludlow High School; client main office located in West Springfield)

Duration:

  • Summer session from July 6, 2026, to August 7, 2026
  • Possible continuation into the 2026/2027 school year based on performance

Schedule and Caseload:

  • 1520 hours per week, spread over 23 days
  • Work within the Compass High Programa specialized setting providing personalized and supportive education tailored towards independence
  • Serve high school students requiring AAC support experience; direct AAC evaluations are not mandatory

Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Experience in school-based SLP services, ideally with high school populations
  • Familiarity with AAC service implementation and strategies
  • Ability to work effectively with students on the autism spectrum or with other learning differences
  • Commitment to maintaining professional state requirements and regulations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted speech and language interventions tailored to individual student needs
  • Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement communication goals
  • Support the development of functional communication skills with AAC devices as needed
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques accordingly
  • Engage with families and staff to foster a supportive learning environment
