\n Requirements:
\n Minimum 5 years of nursing experience – Required
\n Labor & Delivery RN experience – Required
\n Post-Partum experience
\n Nursery / Baby Unit experience
\n BLS/BCLS – Required
\n NRP – Required
\n AWHONN – Required
\n Ability and willingness to float to other units as needed
\n Ability to care for overflow from the Progressive Care Unit
\n Flexibility to work in a Critical Access Hospital environment
\n Personal transportation strongly recommended due to limited public transportation
\n
\n Responsibilities:
\n Provide nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery
\n Care for post-partum patients and newborns in the Baby/Nursery Unit
\n Assist with labor, delivery, and post-delivery patient care
\n Monitor maternal and newborn conditions and communicate changes to the care team
\n Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care throughout the perinatal period
\n Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the multidisciplinary care team
\n Maintain accurate patient documentation in Cerner EMR
\n Float to other units based on facility needs
\n Provide care for overflow from the Progressive Care Unit
\n Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, and hospital policies
\n Participate in required department quarterly education sessions
\n Provide holiday coverage as required
\n
