Title: Pharmacy Tech – Inpatient
Location: Berlin, VT 05602
Duration: 16 weeks
Shift: Day, 5x8 (06:30–13:30) Mid, 5x8 (13:30–21:00)
Job responsibilities and all required and preferred skills and requirements – General
- Support inpatient pharmacy operations, including medication preparation and distribution.
- Assist pharmacists with sterile compounding, medication reconciliation, order verification, and related tasks as permitted for a pharmacy technician.
- Maintain accurate documentation, ensure proper handling of medications, and follow safety/sterile procedures.
- Provide support in managing medication inventory and unit dose packaging.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams in a hospital environment.
- Must meet facility requirements including sterile compounding competency tests (e.g., fingertip and broth tests).
- Must meet math competency expectations related to medication calculations.
- Reliable transportation required due to lack of public transit and winter weather conditions.
