Job Description

Job DescriptionSalary: $35-$40 per hour

A Journeyman Plumber is required to diagnose and remedy issues pertaining to water and HVAC systems, which might include drips, obstructions, and weather damage. A Journeyman Plumber performs service calls, installation, and maintenance on various plumbing fixtures.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain plumbing fixtures in heating, water, and drainage systems, in both rough and finish stages.
  • Ability to identify electrical, plumbing, and safety problems applicable to installation, and be able to take necessary corrective actions.
  • Ensuring structures are in excellent working condition upon completion of each project.
  • Follow current rules and regulations related to plumbing to ensure systems pass inspections.
  • Perform inspections and tests on plumbing systems to identify and resolve any issues.
  • Respond to service calls as needed.
  • Professionally interact with customers and other Cape Associates employees.
  • May supervise the work of Apprentice Plumbers.

Requirements:

  • Must have current Journeyman Plumber license and continuing education requirements must be up to date.
  • Must have valid Driver's License and own vehicle.
  • Must be familiar with all standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to plumbing.
  • Must be able to work independently and report back to the Master Plumber.
  • Strong math skills and accuracy with measurements.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 80 pounds.
  • Physically fit and able to perform various tasks that include standing, climbing, lifting, walking, reaching, crawling, ability to work in hard-to-reach places.
