Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A long-term substitute opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher with an active New Hampshire Special Education Certification. This role is based in a middle school setting and involves working with students in resource room environments as well as providing support within the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction tailored to individual student needs
- Provide support in small groups, 1:1 settings, and inclusive classroom environments
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement IEP goals
- Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
Qualifications:
- Active NH Special Education Certification required
- Experience working with middle school students, preferably in resource room or related settings
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and instructional techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing educational needs
Location & Hours:
- Position located in Derry, NH
- Middle school environment
- Contract duration is long-term substitute, with length of assignment to be determinedranging from a few months to the remainder of the school year
- Typical work hours are 7:30 AM to 2:25 PM
