● Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot commercial and industrial plumbing systems.
● Perform plumbing installations on new construction, renovations, and facility maintenance projects.
● Install and service piping systems, plumbing fixtures, drains, and associated equipment.
● Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
● Perform pipefitting, leak detection, drain cleaning, and system troubleshooting.
● Work independently or as part of a crew to complete assigned projects efficiently.
● Coordinate daily activities with Hydro’s HVAC, pipefitting, electrical, fire protection, and welding personnel.
● Assist other trades with appropriate mechanical installation and maintenance activities as needed.
● Identify potential conflicts between plumbing installations and other mechanical systems.
● Ensure all work complies with applicable plumbing codes, safety standards, and project specifications.

● Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to work effectively with employees from multiple skilled trades.
● Willingness to assist with other appropriate mechanical tasks when needed.
● Valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable under company insurance requirements.
● Reliable transportation to consistently report to the company facility and assigned job sites as required.
● Must possess and maintain their own basic plumbing hand tools necessary to perform daily job responsibilities.
● Ability and willingness to travel to regional job sites.
● Commitment to job site safety, quality workmanship, and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
● Completion of an accredited plumbing apprenticeship program.
● Experience working in industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, hospitals, schools, or municipal buildings.
● Familiarity with commercial and industrial mechanical systems.
● Experience coordinating plumbing installations with HVAC, pipefitting, electrical, and other mechanical trades.
● OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 construction safety training.
● Experience leading small crews or coordinating project activities.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for more than someone who can simply install plumbing systems.
The ideal candidate is a skilled, dependable tradesperson who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of teamwork, and is willing to contribute wherever their qualifications and project needs align.
At Hydro Mechanical Inc., our employees frequently work together across different mechanical disciplines. We value individuals who are adaptable, communicate effectively, and understand that successful projects require cooperation between all trades.
Candidates must be comfortable working in a multi-trade environment and willing to support the overall success of the company, rather than limiting themselves strictly to their individual trade responsibilities.
