Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time special education teaching position is available in Quincy, MA, supporting K-12 students with diverse learning needs. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing individualized instruction and support across a wide range of grade levels, including elementary, middle, and high school students.
This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, accommodating a full K-12 caseload. Both part-time and full-time candidates with special education experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) across grades K-12
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
- Adapt curriculum and materials to meet varied learning styles and needs
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and academic growth
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Special Education teaching credentials
- Experience working with a broad grade range, including elementary (K-5), middle school (6-8), and high school (9-12)
- Strong understanding of individualized instruction and classroom management
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
