Make a difference supporting young learners through a rewarding contract position in a dynamic elementary special education environment. This full-time assignment centers on grades 1-3, delivering expert instruction within the Stepping Stones Program. The opportunity begins as soon as possible, with students arriving for the school year on September 2.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid special education teaching certification
- Classroom experience with elementary-age students (grades 1-3 preferred)
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for students with exceptional needs
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop and uphold Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Previous work in a specialized or self-contained setting is highly valued
Responsibilities:
- Teach and support students within the Stepping Stones Program, emphasizing skill growth and confidence
- Develop, implement, and assess individualized lesson plans aligned to IEP goals
- Cultivate a positive, structured classroom atmosphere supporting emotional and academic development
- Liaise with families, related service providers, and school staff to coordinate supports and progress
- Maintain compliance with special education regulations and documentation requirements
