Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school psychologist position is available for a maternity leave assignment at a middle school serving grades 5 through 8 in Whitman, MA. This contract role runs from February 2nd to May 15th and involves working with students primarily on initial evaluations and re-evaluations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial and re-evaluations for special education eligibility
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to support student needs
  • Complete evaluations and documentation using the Frontline IEP platform
  • Communicate effectively with school administrators and families
  • Maintain compliance with special education laws and district policies

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a school psychologist preferred
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and evaluations
  • Familiarity with IEP development and special education procedures
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseload efficiently
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Schedule and Support:

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with part-time contractors considered
  • Work exclusively in a single middle school building
  • Supportive principal and assistant principal
  • Access to district school psychologists for guidance and Frontline training

Interviews are scheduled for Monday (MLK Day) and Thursday after 10 a.m. This temporary contract offers the opportunity to support students and families in a collaborative school environment while gaining or utilizing specialized expertise.
